Grand Alfheim Beginner Guide

Grand Alfheim combines open-world exploration, class-based weapon combat, racial magic, flight, quests, bosses, and dungeons. Follow this route to create your character, learn combat, choose a class, complete starter quests, and prepare for the Temple of Beginnings.

1

Create Your Character

Choose a race and appearance that match your preferred fantasy and combat style.

  • Select one of the nine fairy races: Undine, Spriggan, Leprechaun, Imp, Cait Sith, Sylph, Salamander, Pooka, or Gnome.
  • Review the race's associated magic and specialty before confirming your character.
  • Finish appearance customization and enter the tutorial area.

Your character is ready to begin the tutorial and select a combat class.

2

Complete the Tutorial

Learn the movement and defensive mechanics used throughout the game.

  • Practice movement with W, A, S, and D and use M1 for basic weapon attacks.
  • Learn how to run, roll, block, interact with NPCs, and activate equipped skills.
  • Practice flying with V because many quests and territories require vertical travel.
  • Open the main menu with M to review equipment, skills, quests, and character progression.

You can move safely through the open world and avoid relying only on basic attacks.

3

Choose a Starter Class

Select a weapon style that is easy to use while learning enemy attack patterns.

  • Visit the forge or blacksmith and choose a class such as Swordsman, Duelist, Assassin, Pugilist, Titanblade, or Aegis.
  • Use the corresponding starter weapon provided when selecting the class.
  • Test the weapon's attack speed, range, stamina cost, and class skills against nearby enemies.
  • Return to a blacksmith to change classes when another weapon style suits you better.

You have a class weapon and a clear combat role for early quests.

4

Finish Starter Quests

Earn early levels, currency, equipment, and skill progression.

  • Prioritize main quests because they introduce important locations and progression systems.
  • Complete nearby side quests while traveling between main objectives.
  • Accept class quests that improve your understanding of the selected weapon.
  • Defeat enemies near your level instead of repeatedly fighting stronger monsters.

Your character reaches the early level range required for stronger enemies and the first dungeon.

5

Improve Skills and Equipment

Build enough damage and survivability for group content.

  • Spend class points on a small group of frequently used abilities instead of unlocking every branch immediately.
  • Develop your magic tree alongside the class tree so that weapon and magic attacks can be combined.
  • Equip weapons and armor that meet your current level and class requirements.
  • Use flight for short routes and a mount for convenient ground travel across large territories.

You have a functional combat rotation and level-appropriate equipment.

6

Practice Dungeon Combat

Prepare for groups of enemies, puzzles, and boss mechanics.

  • Practice pulling small enemy groups instead of allowing several enemies to surround you.
  • Save high-cooldown skills for dangerous enemies or boss openings.
  • Learn when to dodge, block, retreat, and recover stamina.
  • Join other players when your damage, defense, or knowledge of the route is still limited.

You can survive longer encounters without exhausting every skill at the start.

7

Clear the Temple of Beginnings

Complete the first major dungeon and begin farming stronger equipment.

  • Enter at approximately level 10 with upgraded starter equipment.
  • Choose the left parkour route or the right combat route containing groups of monsters.
  • Complete the dungeon's cube puzzles to open the route toward the final encounter.
  • Defeat the Bone Dragon and repeat the dungeon for class weapons, armor, and other rewards.

You have completed your first dungeon and unlocked the main equipment-farming loop.

Grand Alfheim Leveling Guide

Efficient progression comes from combining main quests, nearby side quests, class development, magic skills, enemy farming, and dungeon equipment. Move into the next stage when regular enemies can be defeated consistently without consuming all of your stamina or high-cooldown abilities.

Level 1-5

Tutorial and Class Setup

  • Complete the full tutorial
  • Choose a class at the forge
  • Equip the starter class weapon
  • Practice basic attacks, rolling, blocking, skills, and flight

Goal: Understand your controls and defeat nearby starter enemies without repeatedly being knocked down.

Ready when: You can complete simple fights while preserving stamina and health.

Level 5-9

Starter Quests and Open-World Training

  • Follow main quests through the starting territory
  • Complete side and class quests found along the route
  • Defeat nearby enemy groups for experience and drops
  • Invest early points into a small, reliable class rotation
  • Begin developing the magic skill tree

Goal: Reach approximately level 10 with upgraded equipment and several usable combat skills.

Ready when: Normal enemies near the first dungeon route can be defeated consistently.

Level 10-19

Temple of Beginnings

  • Enter the Temple of Beginnings alone or with a group
  • Use the combat route for fighting practice or the parkour route for faster movement
  • Defeat Scorpions, Dinosaurs, plant enemies, tree enemies, and other dungeon monsters
  • Complete the cube puzzles
  • Defeat the Bone Dragon
  • Farm level 10 and level 15 class equipment

Goal: Replace starter gear with dungeon weapons or armor and become comfortable with boss mechanics.

Ready when: You can finish the dungeon route and contribute reliable damage against the final boss.

Level 20-29

Territory Exploration and Boss Farming

  • Continue main and side quests across additional race territories
  • Fight stronger open-world enemies and territory bosses
  • Repeat the Temple of Beginnings for missing class equipment
  • Improve both class and magic skill trees
  • Test upgraded abilities against groups instead of isolated starter enemies

Goal: Build a complete early-game equipment set and a dependable weapon-and-magic rotation.

Ready when: Early dungeon enemies and common territory monsters no longer slow progression.

Level 30-49

Advanced Questing and Build Completion

  • Finish remaining questlines in unlocked territories
  • Farm bosses and dungeon encounters for higher-rarity equipment
  • Refine class skill allocation instead of spreading points across unused abilities
  • Practice coordinated combat with other players
  • Prepare a damage, support, or frontline role for advanced group content

Goal: Reach level 50 with a focused build, upgraded equipment, and experience handling boss phases.

Ready when: Your character can survive long encounters and perform a clear role within a party.

Level 50+

Ode to the Abyss and Endgame Farming

  • Form a group of approximately four to eight prepared players
  • Enter Ode to the Abyss during its scheduled opening window

  • Continue refining separate PvE and PvP builds

Goal: Farm endgame equipment and complete the strongest available group encounters.

Ready when: Your group can handle the boss's phase changes, tower mechanic, and sustained damage requirements.

Grand Alfheim Dungeons, Bosses, and Loot

Dungeons combine combat routes, puzzles, minibosses, and final encounters. Bring healing items, learn the block and parry system, and use a class that can reliably damage bosses without exhausting its stamina.

Entry: Recommended level 10+. Entrances are available from Salamander, Undine, and Gnome territories.

Pattern: Choose the left parkour route or the right monster route. Both paths lead to rooms where cubes must be placed on matching angel and demon altars before the boss portal opens.

Preparation: Bring healing items and practice parrying before entering. The monster route provides more combat practice, while the parkour route avoids several enemy groups.
